DEPARTMENT OF ANESTHESIA AND INTENSIVE CARE

The Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care is the subdivision of City Maternity Hospital No.2. The capacity of the department is 6 beds.

The key goals of our team are: preparation and management of general, local or regional anesthesia for delivery, diagnostic procedures, treatment , intensive care or follow-up. Among our patients are the patients from other departments of City Maternity Hospital No.2 and the patients taken to hospital by ambulance.

Our department has the anesthesia-respiratory systems, resuscitation equipment, monitoring systems, all necessary medications: infusion and transfusion medications, pain medications, etc.

We cooperate with the specialists of the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care of Belarusian Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education. In recent years we have implemented and started to use combined spinal epidural analgesia and anesthesia in labour and gynecological surgeries, puncture and ultrasound-guided catheterization of central veins, low-flow anesthesia with isoflurane and sevoflurane using the laryngeal mask.

We apply the up-to-date technologies in anesthesia and intensive care. All physicians carry out regional anesthesia.
