MATERNITY DEPARTMENT

The staff of the department consists of highly-qualified medical professionals who carry out all types or obstetric and gynecological surgeries and are the experts in individual management of labour.

We apply the latest techniques, which help to reduce the risks for mothers and babies.

We offer:

• vaginal delivery;
• delivery in case of abnormal pregnancy (toxemia of pregnancy, anatomical features of the pelvis, fetal and placental abnormalities, history of infertility, IVF pregnancy, uterine scar, breech presentation, etc.) and Caesarian section;
• delivery with the partner;
• vertical delivery;
• lower segment Caesarean section;
• anesthesia (epidural anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, general anesthesia, intratracheal anesthesia) during the delivery and Caesarean section;
• collection of umbilical cord blood to store it in a personal cord blood bank;
• early breastfeeding.

We have the state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, including fetal heart rate monitors.

You may give birth to your child in a private labour room. There is a toilet, a bidet, a shower, a bed, an adjustable birthing chair suitable for both vertical and horizontal delivery, a heated baby changing table, etc. in the private labour room. There is also equipment used to provide neonatal care there. To facilitate the delivery, we use gym balls and wall bars. If a patient’s partner, i.e. husband, mother, etc. undergoes a special training, they may “deliver” together with the patient.
